The Kearsarge Area Rocket Society (KARS) is New Hampshire's only NAR sanctioned model rocket club (Section #700). Officially founded in 2008, we hold monthly launches from April to October, and are open to anyone who wants to build and fly model rockets. We are a low-power club (E impulse and under) but with sufficient interest and an adequate field, we may form a separate high power club.

As you can see from the YouTube video below, our club has video equipment to record onboard rocket footage. As time allows, we will post new videos from our monthly launches to our YouTube account: http://www.youtube.com/karsnh

Why model rockets? Model rocketry is a one of those rare intersections of fun and learning. Model rockets build math, physics and chemistry skills. You'll also get pretty good at model construction too! Of course, you can choose your own challenges: Maybe you just want to buy a few "ready-to-fly" rockets from Stuff-Mart to launch with the club? Maybe you want to build some advanced rocket kits from FlisKits or Estes Rockets? Maybe you want to construct your own rocket from scratch? The choice is yours to make.
