Ray James, Baker University
Ray James has taught for over 45 years at the elementary, junior high, high school, and collegiate levels. He has taught in Florida, Oklahoma, California, and Kansas. He holds degrees from Wichita State University and Murray State University. Ray's has served as a band director in several Kansas communities including Hutchinson Central Jr. High 1968-1975; Buhler High School, 1975-1979 and 1992-1997; Hutchinson High School, 1979-1982; and Baker University, 1997-Present. Ray is a life member of the National Education Association; Music Educators National Conference; Kansas Music Educators Association; Kansas Bandmasters Association (Past-President and Mentoring Chair); College Band Directors National Association; International Trombone Association; and Phi Beta Mu (Iota Chapter Past President). He is also a member of the International Society for Technology in Education and the Technology Institute for Music Educators. |
