The photos you see in the Gallery were made possible by at least a dozen earlier attempts—half-formed monstrosities, drooping and slumping like something Dalí might have printed.  Between each attempt, there came the tuning.

Skeinforge, even the Skeinforge shipped with ReplicatorG, is configured for a Platonic ideal of the MakerBot.  Its settings are wrong for your machine.  Maybe not all of them, but some of them.  The key is figuring out which ones are wrong and fixing them.
