Access from Reno, NV: Mount Rose Highway south to Mount Rose Summit parking area on west side of road Drive Time: 27 min Slide Mountain: I crossed the street and began hiking/skinning up Slide Mountain's west face. I dropped my gear just below the summit and scampered to the summit. I quickly returned and skied directly down the west face finding wind-affected snow.
