Greetings! You have reached the home page of Kaja M. Abbas. I am an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases in Public Health in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Virginia Tech. My research interests are on systems science modeling of public health dynamics with a focus on health systems strengthening and global health epidemiology of infectious diseases. My expertise is in conducting systems science research on global health policy by modeling population and disease dynamics and economic evaluation of public health interventions and systems. I welcome novel perspectives and collaborations at the interface of systems science, infectious diseases and health systems strengthening with implications for research, policy, and practice in public health.
