  • M.S. in EECS, MIT 1997
  • Ph.D. in EECS, MIT 2002

      Brief Bio

SeongHwan Cho received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the KAIST, Daejeon, Korea, in 1995, and the S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science(EECS) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, in 1997 and 2002, respectively. During the summer of 1999, he was with IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY. In 2002, he joined Engim, Inc., where he was involved in data converters, phased-locked loops (PLL) and voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) design for IEEE 802.11(a)(b)(g) WLANs. In 2003-2004, he served the military of Korea as a public service agent. Since November of 2004, he has been with KAIST in the department of EECS, where he is now an associate professor. His research interests include mixed-signal and analog circuits for low power communication systems and wireless sensor networks.
