Students will engage in an ongoing project where they will learn different historical figures from Kansas that have shaped and influenced not only Kansas but this great nation.

Some of the figures we will be studying:

Wyatt Earp

Walter P. Chysler

Amelia Earheart

Blackbear Bosin

William Allen White

Dwight D. Eisenhower

Robert Dole

Langston Hughes

Carry Nation

And a few others

Your Kansas History

Students will come up with a timeline and a family tree on there families history from the time they traveled to this country to the time they ended up in Kansas.

This should be a fun project for the students as they track their roots and see maybe who in their family has helped to influnence this country.
