Author and Artist (OOC)

Hello! Apparently I need an 'about me' page, so here it is.

 Name: Ashley Lee
Gender: Female
Birth-date: August 27th 1985 (You do the math)
Sexual Orientation/Martial Status: Heterosexual (straight) Also not interested.
About Me: I live in Northern Texas with my folks. And I spend a lot of time on the MMORPG Furcadia, If you're not familiar with Furcadia you'll find this site references it frequently.
I'm not really a writer, but with help and encouragement from my good buddy and talented friend Wolfy T. Twisted, I've been feeling more interested in giving it a shot.
I'm religious, but I'm really not a traditional Christian. (I don't honestly know what faith I belong to). I think all religions are beautiful and deserving, but this being a sensitive subject with so many people, I'd really rather not talk about it.

I'm a huge Batman The Animated Series fan, also pretty fond of Hellboy.
I'm quite fat. :D

My buddies and favorite places (people and places you're going to see referenced within the site):

Other stuff I felt necessary to mention:
I'm not Gale and choose not to pretend to be Gale. I respect that other people choose to portray their online personality as a character, but I prefer to be 'Ashley'. I choose that identity because it is very me, not because I feel negatively about it. (Actually, I think a lot of these online personalities are pretty cool and creative.)
Any variation of 'Kaelin'yFiae' is fine since that's the nickname everyone remembers, I really don't mind nicknames.
It comes with the internet!
In the same way that I don't identify as Gale, I don't identify as a 'furry'. The only things that I really feel in common with the fandom is the art, and that many of my friends are a part of it.

I'm sorry! But I consider very few people online to be 'close friends' and to most others I don't make a very good shoulder to cry on. If you are having life troubles I sympathize with you but please respect my personal space and leave your life troubles with people who genuinely know you. I go away from keyboard suddenly and frequently, I don't make a good shoulder buddy anyway! I'm sorry to even have to mention that, but there are people who have carried it way way too far. This doesn't mean I'm disinterested in your day.

I do like to chat however! Don't be afraid to start conversation with me, I don't bite. It's not unusual for me to miss AIM and Furcadia messages, please don't be offended if I fail to respond. It's probably because I didn't see it or came too late to reply.

I'm also not yiffy, sorry! This means I don't do 'sex roleplay'. If you do it, cool. That's your business and your right, I'm just not interested in it myself.

If you came to my 'about me' page and didn't expect to see a section set aside for my cats. Clearly, you have not been to very many 'about me' pages, they're really all about pets.
Sammy
Sammy is the most lovable male cat I've ever had. And he has a weird purr that sounds a lot like a raccoon chirr.
He's about two years old and may or may not be part rag doll. He came from my aunt's house in the Fort Worth, Tx area. Sammy was born in the country and probably would have been more or less a barn cat. He spends a lot of his time inside with me while the other cats prefer to spend their day outside.
When I got Sammy I wasn't wanting anymore cats, and specifically told my mom NOT to bring another one home for me. xP But.. she didn't listen. I'm kinda glad she didn't, he's my baby.
He's also all smiles. Clearly.
Bruce
Bruce comes from a trailer, on the edge of the country in the town I live in. My sister had taken some of the kittens home to see if she wanted to adopt one and I took the male off her hands just to enjoy the company of a kitten for a night (and because it was hungry and I've always got catfood).
I know what happens to kittens at the house he was born at, they're generally coyote food. So I never had the heart to take him back.  He lives with me now and he's a big baby that hides under my feet during thunderstorms. He's about a year old.
Stupid
Stupid (affectionately named for his ASTOUNDING intelligence for a cat. No, really, he's smart), is my oldest cat. He's about six years old and is the family pet. He's a big stout cat with a lot of personality and shifts between lovable and love-bite cranky. I brought Stupid home from a garage sale with a box of kittens (again, these cats generally become barn cats in our area). He was laying the law on a piece of tape on the side of the box and had such an obvious winning personality.
His 'vet name' is Chimera, but the family calls him either Stupid, 'Tupid, or Piggy.

FAQ(Because apparently enough questions are asked enough times)

It's weird to have a FAQ page but if it answers these questions so I don't have to, XD then it deserves to exist.

1. Did you do the art on this website/Do you take commissions?.

  • Yes! I drew the images on this site (most of them, the ones not by me are marked with the responsible artist's gallery or name)
  • I do sometimes do commissions but not very often. For those you need to watch my Deviantart Journals.
  • I'm sorry, I don't take patch commissions anymore.
  • Please don't ask me for free art or guilt trip me about it. It will not get the desired effect! (It'll annoy me is what it'll do).
2.  Are you Furcadia Staff/Didn't you make some official avatars? Can I make some too?
  • I am Furcadia Staff (Co-AIC of Masons and Pixels) and do make avatars, but there's a system to it! I really don't just pop them out at whim, a lot of the work I do depends very heavily on how DEP Council want them made.
  • I'm sorry, I also can't bump you up to 'official' work. It's really not up to me who works on official Furcadia art. Recently more people are getting involved though, and your opportunities are more frequent than they used to be. Pixels often work on Furcadia projects, so the best suggestion I can make is to apply to the Pixel Beekins. (And to patch, patch, patch! The more you have to show the community, the more likely you'll be noticed).
3. What avatars did you make/How were they made?
  • It's very rare for any artist to make an avatar entirely on their own. The avatars are worked on in teams, and often passed around as needed. The following avatars were made with additional work by other staff members and artists. Non-seasonal avatars often have design help from Talzhemir, and all avatars are reviewed and edited by Emerald Flame and Gar. But these are the ones I've done a significant amount of work on(some more so than others);
  • Wolven
  • Tygard
  • Leonen
  • Foxen
  • Horsen (Coming soon, no release date)
  • Naga (Coming soon, no release date, also significantly worked on by Rat the Unloved)
  • Bat
  • Owlen (Also significantly worked on by Kittrel and Artspace)
  • Toytle (Back wiggle animation by Emerald Flame)
  • Kirin
  • Tusker (Releases in June)
  • Flox
  • Furling
  • Chinchilla (Significantly worked on by Talzhemir and Youlanda)
  • To view additional Furcadia artists and other current and retired staff/contributers, type 'credits'. This will bring up a credits list for you in game. (With running kiwis!)
4. What's your AIM, can I message you? Do you use Skype?
  • It's CarolyneReigne, I don't mind getting messages. I frequently miss them though, and often have a lot of junk in my lap while drawing or working, so I may not reply right away!
  • I skype occasionally but not very often. This is something I very much prefer to do in groups and not one on one.
  • You can't have my phone number. Sorry. xP
5. What kind of person are you?
  • I'm a retard.
