!Mediengruppe Bitnik is a Zurich-based media collective that became notorious, amongst others, by bugging the Zurich opera with radio transmitters and offering free live telephone broadcasts of the opera
performances to the neighborhood, aesthetic hacking of movie files, and a pirate TV station based on media illegally downloaded from the Internet. The group does not understand hacking as a cult of technology geeks, but as a social intervention and practice everyone can adopt. To this end, they have been touring with their workshop series ,,A Hack a Day``, inviting and working with local and international artists.

On friday, during the day, they will be at WORM to take you on a city walk where they'll do some serious security camera hacking. You are free and very welcome to join. If you do, you can send an email to katelyn@wormweb.nl. (This is not obligatory to join, you can also join Bitnik spontaneously, but it's handy for us to know) The exact gathering time will be on the website on tuesday.

!Mediengruppe Bitnik are Carmen Weisskopf, Domagoj Smoljo, Silvan Leuthold, Sven König (since 2007) and Daniel Ryser (since 2007), Adnan Hadzi (since 2008) and Sameer Sait (since 2008). The city walk will be leaded by Carmen and Domagoj.
