  • We own a Travel Agency called Damtravel. Deb and I enjoy leisure travel so much, we decided to make a business of it and share our experiences with anyone who will listen. If you have upcoming travel needs, please feel free to check us out! We offer very competitive pricing as compared to the major on-line travel businesses. Why do business with a BIG corporation when you can do business with my family... Send us an Email or give us a call! :) We would love to help in any way we can!!!

Anyway, on to the career info:

  • My career choice has been what is now known as wireless communications. Becoming a ham radio operator at a fairly young age helped me get to know key folks and friends involved in the different industries that include wireless in their products and services.
  • At the time of this update, I am employed by Sprint in their Xohm business unit. Since returning to the company a few years ago, I have held many positions. Starting out as a Level III Engineer for the back haul team, working on the transformation from TDM based back haul to Ethernet based back haul. I then became a Manager of a back haul planning team, then was reorganized into the IP Engineering team. Today I lead a team that designs switches and routers that reside in our back haul network.
  • I left Sprint after many years to join Andrew Corporation (aquired by Commscope) as a Systems Engineer. Those in the industry are familiar with Andrew as they have been in the 50 ohm feed line business for many, many years. Over the years, Andrew has broadened its product line immensely and now adds customized software, a wide array of active and passive components (amplifiers, filters, combiners, etc.).  I assisted Andrew's clients and sales staff to provide them with the right solution.
  • Before that, I worked as an Engineer for Sprint. My main focus was RF and the compliance of air interface standards. My group worked with Sprint's infrastructure vendors to ensure that they comply with the CDMA air interface standards.
  • Before working at Sprint, I worked for many years in the broadcast industry. I also participated in the two-way, 800MHz cellular, and had a short stint in the Electronic Toll and Traffic Management industry. I found out quickly that I didn't want to hang out at toll plazas for a living and pursued other interests. :)
