jordan's ROVs

updates!

new announcement, working on HOW TO and DIY page

J'SFR III / vi

First, it should be noted (ha) that the name is derived from a borrowed major three chord of the minor sixth tonality...
i'm a music major

... anyway
there's been an update! what has recently been accomplished:
purchased 75% of the pvc body of the sub
cut all necessary parts of the pvc
 built main body
purchased second bilge pump and two more propellers
ate a box of poptarts while working
...

i'm also toying with the idea of adding an electronic compass on "the dash" or controls of the sub.

so this is where i  currently am on this     project, clicking on the  propeller thruster will     bring up a larger view

once i have the testing done, i'll provide an exploded view and some shots from the testing

AS OF...

there will be new pictures here soon! what's remarkable is how much the actual body of the sub looks like the original and detailed sketches i just sort of pulled out of thin air, i'm very pleased. this of course does not mean that she will swim very well, i've noticed a few leak-prone areas and some things that i'm sure can only hinder my hydrodynamics, but i'll figure a way around it. i developed a super-no-brainer way to cut good ol'fashioned straight lines on round pvc and am in the process of making a DIY and HOW TO page. the big empty space below will be filled with pictures, including an exploded and piced together view of J'SFR III / vi, just as soon as i upload all of the photos from a spur of the moment trip to disney world.
