the idea was originally entitled the Mayfly Project, but that concept died and was replaced by a more machine looking homebuilt system made entirely of pvc and basic electronics. it started as a few lousy sketches and then became a real goal when i started to look at the pricing of parts. it has been through quite a few steps and changes as you can see and has finally come to this point - the pictures detail - the J'SFR III / vi (it's a music joke)

this latest design, which i have already built a working thruster for, uses only three motors, two side mounted for forward and back and turning and one back mounted for horizontal motion. i am still in the process of sketching out an idea for skids that would work and when i have them i will place them here. i plan to use led lights on small plates for the lighting and a camera from sparkfun.com
under sealed plexiglass. it will all run, sans the camera, to h bridge relays that will be attached through the tether to a car battery, my laptop, and a joystick control box. the goal of this design was to make something light in weight and with minimal outer pieces and to attain a certain degree of aesthetic value as well. i'm very pleased with how the project is going as of right now, though financial limitations and tools are making process slow.
