Volunteers required for the FIS Snowboard and Freestyle Junior World Championships,  20-31 August 2010

The world’s top junior freeskiers and snowboarders will line up with over 400 athletes aged between 13 and 20 years to take part in a spectacular display of junior sport at its best.

The world championship will require in excess of 250 volunteers to help the smooth running of the events at Snow Park NZ and Cardrona Alpine Resort.

We need people with on-snow related jobs like slipping and course marshals but we also need people to man information desks, transport teams and general help behind the scenes.

It's a great opportunity to be involved in a world-class event, learn some new skills and enjoy the experience of a lifetime!

Volunteers helping on the skifields will receive a free lift ticket on the days worked plus one other to enjoy in their own time. Food and drinks will be provided on days worked. We are able to help with transport up the mountain if necessary.

On Snow Jobs include:

  • Slippers
  • Course Marshals
  • Start Referees
  • Timing Assistant
  • Awards Assistants
  • Media and Signage Helpers

Off Snow Jobs include:

  • Drivers
  • Office Administration
  • Registration and Accreditation Assistants
  • Awards Ceremony Helpers
