Gained recognition for “Misrepresentation: How the Media is Spreading AIDS”. Enjoys and noted for writing reviews in pop culture studies as well as research into drug trafficking and use. Outside of writing and studying human interactions, I have spent years developing a deep knowledge of the aspects of social media. Having devoted multiple years using services such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, WordPress, etc. this hobby has grown into a full career path. I believe the future of marketing lies with the consumer in their own habitat (physical media is dead, the nonmaterial possibilities of advertising continue to grow). I will use this knowledge in the marketplace to further the advancement of companies, products and personas alike.

Blogging
In mid-2007 I took a course entitled Social Constructions of Deviance that was headed by my mentor at the time. The course was by far one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my college career and led me to one major question about the human construction of deviance: Is there such a thing as a motiveless crime? I confronted my mentor about said question and we spent many an hour discussing the premise, and from those conversations a new kind of writing outlet emerged for me: I found blogging.

Motiveless Crime has been around for over two years now and covers every imaginable topic from drugs, sex and rock n’ roll to politics (which covers all three). MC, as I’ve grown to call it, is my outlet for committing the ultimate social offense: unfiltered and non-censored writing that panders to no one and bends to no will. It is, in essence, a crime; depending on who you ask.

Aspirations

I intend to continue writing whenever possible, be it on my own site or via other outlets. Aside from that I will continue to see my interest in social media grow and hope to find the right connections to use it for the better good. In my opinion social media has a place in the home, the office and everywhere in between. I would like to be a part of the new media wave and contribute in the spreading of this emerging democratic medium. Eventually I would like to find myself working for a non-profit or a company that is focused on something greater than monetary gain. One day I would also like to find my own book on a shelf in every neighborhood bookstore in America, or better yet, the world.
