Flutist Justin Bahrami is a member of the Spokane Symphony and recent graduate of The Juilliard School where he earned a Master of Music with Carol Wincenc. A Los Angeles native, Mr. Bahrami received his Bachelor of Music from The University Of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, studying with Bradley Garner. Since his debut, playing the piccolo on the Disney Channel at age 12, Mr. Bahrami has further distinguished himself as the first prize winner of the LISMA International Music Competition, worked with the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, studied under scholarship from the American Society of Composers and Publishers (ASCAP), and being named a Yamaha Young Performing Artist. He has performed educational programs for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and been featured in fantasy video game soundtracks. In April 2006, Mr. Bahrami was featured in the PBS broadcast of Live From Lincoln Center with The Juilliard Orchestra. Along with Frieda Chan, Mr. Bahrami founded the Metropolitain Chamber Players and has toured New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara. When he is not practicing, Mr. Bahrami builds piccolo headjoints, restores instruments, makes jewelry, and does fine woodworking.
