Just Good Friends
Just Good Friends (JGF) is a Suffolk based Friendship Club that has been running in the Ipswich/Woodbridge/Felixstowe area for a number of years. It is a non profit making Club that aims to provide a social scene for like minded, mainly single people, in the Suffolk area. Members range from about 40 years to 70+ years of age. We like to think we are a Club that will allow you to make new friends, and allow you to kick-start a social life that for a variety of reasons may have stalled.
The Annual Garden Party at The Orwell Hotel in Felixstowe held on Sunday 21st August where 16 members enjoyed a brilliant afternoon with excellent food, very enjoyable musical entertainment and great company. A great time was had by all. Given the nature of our Club, we feel we have a special appeal to anyone who is looking for companionship. After all, going out with a mate, or as part of a group, is usually so much more fun than if you go out on your own! So maybe JGF’s main appeal will be to someone who has just been through a divorce, separation or bereavement and is looking to move their life forward again. Our Club could also appeal to anyone who has recently moved to the Suffolk area, and who is looking to make new friends.
Our regular social activities include dining out, cinema visits, countryside walks, Dance nights, & Ten Pin Bowling. We meet regularly just to get together to relax and chat, and maybe sip the odd glass of wine or two! If you look at our programme, you will see the calendar of events that we have arranged for the next month or so, and it gives you some indication of what we get up to.

We like to try new activities too, so if your favourite hobby or activity is not here, don’t worry, come along with your suggestions and there could well be other members who want to join in with you.
So if you live in the Suffolk area, and are looking to make new friends, enjoy companionship, or broaden your social life, why not get in touch? There is a small membership fee to cover administrative costs. However for the first couple of months we invite potential new members to join us in our activities, without having to commit to any membership subscription. After that, hopefully you will have decided we are the right Club for you, and you will be only too pleased to become a fully fledged JGF member.
