Jurassic park toys came about with the success of the novel turned film during the nineties. The film focused on the concept of biological experimentation responsible for the cloning of dinosaurs. The story begins with a slow tying up of a series of animal attack incidents which cannot be explained all of which occurring in Isla Nublar and Costa Rica.



One of the first species identified as the plot unravels is a three toed lizard like creature who was the primary suspect in the series of animal attacks. A team of paleontologists consisting of a resident and intern was then were invited to an island by a billionaire who owned the company called InGen.

InGen or International Genetic Technologies is an establishment where dinosaur species are experimented upon; their workings deal with biological cloning processes. The owner of InGen has developed his personal island which serves as an entertainment facility which houses massive creatures that have cause shock and disbelief in the team of paleontologists. From extinction they were able to see dinosaurs which they only dreamt about; Jurassic park toys aim to give a similar opportunity to children or anyone who buys them offering the chance for imagination to flourish.

Upon the group's arrival on the island, they came across different species of cloned dinosaurs that were sourced through damaged DNA from mosquitoes who sucked up dinosaur blood and got preserved in amber. Gaps in the damaged mosquito DNA were completed by filling them up with avian, amphibian, and reptilian DNA. Population control in the film's story was done by sticking to breeding female dinosaurs only and the same concept was reflected in the earlier designs for Jurassic park toys where the majority of the toys reflected female dinosaur images.

With the initial Jurassic park toys resembling female dinosaurs, males too have been created to reflect the plot in the movie. In the movie, conflict started when the breeding process went beyond the intended plan of the geneticists causing the project to go against what have been initially agreed upon by the people involved. For the well being of everyone on the island, the facility needed to be closed down as they were already running beyond their means.

Some Jurassic park toys may include dinosaur eggs or unborn dinosaurs as in the film where a batch of these eggs and babies were shown to be in the possession of the establishment. In the movie also, an employee stole some of the eggs for personal gain and was intercepted by a dinosaur nonetheless. The process of shutting down the facility did not do well by means of maintaining security measures.

By shutting down the main security system, the park had absolutely zero control when the dinosaurs had the opportunity to roam free. A gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex was the highlight of the first film and Jurassic park toys developed a line for this main character. He caused the most havoc leaving facilities in destruction and people badly injured.

The movie ended with the dinosaurs being controlled eventually and the island closed off for good but again, new twists arrived with each sequel to the initial Jurassic park movie.
