I'm LIU Junxiu. In late July 2010, I will finish my M.Sc. in the Colledge of Information Engineering at the Guangdong University of Technology(GDUT) in Guangzhou, China. My supervisor is Professor WU Liming. During my postgraduate studies, I am a team leader of GDUT-Xilinx Embedded System and Innovation Joint lab and a member of the Institute of Micro Electromechanical System(MEMS). My academic research is in the areas of Embedded System and Co-processor. I am interested in the acceleration of arithmetic, which can be implemented by adding Co-processor due to algorithms being executed in parallel in hardware and not sequentially in software, because in the embedded system, the processor is a little solwly (PowerPC 405 is 400MIPS). The platform is Virtex-II Pro FPGA (Xilinx Inc.), the design is from the bottom to the top. The embedded system is using PowerPC405 processor, operating system is Linux 2.6 (An example is shown here). In addition, I am also enthusiastic in the world of Open Source Software, image processing and chaos encryption technology.
