The idea of Khamsin came up as I started using Google Sketchup within the building industry. Sketchup proved to be an intuitive, easy-to-use 3D environment, AND there is a free version AND it is easily extendable with Plugins. Khamsin is an attempt at transforming Sketchup into an integrated environment to conduct CFD analyses. Khamsin interacts with existing and available third-party components, such as Gmsh, OpenFVM and OpenFOAM.
