6/18/2011 Board Meeting of Julian-St. James Neighborhood Association (JJNA) (Meeting held at XXX N. 15th St., San Jose CA) Agenda – Elect new Treasurer to replace outgoing Treasurer Dee Dumont Elect new Vice President to replace outgoing VP Denise Pliskin
President called the meeting to order at 10:01 AM.
In attendance – Lynette Bunyard – JJNA President Cate Schroeder – At Large Board member Dave Oxley – At Large Board member Craig Chivatero – Secretary
Dee has moved out of the neighborhood and relinquished the position of Treasurer. Denise now has additional commitments and needs relief from the duties of VP. We thank them both for their service.
Lynette nominated a slate of candidates for election (including circulation of that slate to Board members Debbie Anderson, Pete Anderson and Denise Pliskin, who were not physically present for this meeting and whose votes were conveyed to the Board by Cate).
Slate of candidates – For VP – David Oxley For Treasurer – Craig Chivatero For Secretary – Cate Schroeder
Vote tally: Ayes 7 (4 present, 3 absentee), Nays 0. The vote was unanimous. The President thanked and welcomed the Board members for their previous and continuing service to the Association.
The Treasurer accepted an action to assess the state of JJNA bank accounts and how they interact with the 13Th St. NAC and its umbrella 501(c)(3) status. A second action was accepted to meet the President later this week at the bank to complete the forms associated with signature authority on the JJNA account.
It was agreed that we should plan a Summer barbeque / potluck for July 23. Cate offered to generate the flyers for distribution to the neighborhood.
Motion to adjourn was made at 10:56 AM.
