Welcome!

Welcome to the site of Julia G. Krivoruchko!

This page is intended mostly to facilitate the access to some of my publications.

My main research interests are:

  • language contacts, particularly involving Greek, Semitic & Slavic languages;
  • dialectology, especially Jewish Greek language varieties;
  • Judeo-Greek manuscriptology;
  • Greek Biblical translations;
  • historical lexicology and lexicography;
  • Byzantine Judaism, its history and culture;
  • computing in humanities

I graduated from the Dept. of Classics of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow  State University and taught various subjects of Hellenic interest in the universities of Moscow, Kharkov, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa and other places. My recent participation in the GBBJ Project housed by the University of Cambridge  and the European Seminar on Advanced Jewish Studies has been most inspiring.

Currently I am working at Taylor-Schechter Genizah Research Unit
