My, oh, my!  How insignificant can we be in the whole scheme of things!  On the other hand, the things going on for us individually each moment can be the whole world and universe to each of us!  Each of us have things, people, etc. for which we would give up our very existence, i.e., our "world" or "universe".  How does this fit in with the "other" world or universe???
