The Judospace Educational Institute is delighted to announce the approval of the Anglia Ruskin University External Accreditation Sub-panel for the European Judo Union Level 3 Advanced Coach Award.
This means that judo coaches who successfully complete the award will also achieve the Access Certificate in Sports Coaching - European Judo Union worth 90 academic credits from the University. The Proposal Team consisted of; The detailed written proposal was closely scrutinised by the Accreditation Panel led by the leading sociology academic, Dr Shaun Le Boutillier. They considered issues such as; the rationale for curriculum design and content of programme, the appropriateness of aims and learning outcomes, assessment strategies, student experience, and operational management. The Panel meeting with the Proposal Team then clarified any questions. Dr Callan, said "We are pleased that the EJU Level 3 Award has gained this academic recognition. This confirms that it is set at the right level and has suitable quality control systems in place. It's great news for coaches who want to progress on to the Level 4 Award, but who previously did not have the qualifications to gain entry to the University." Mr Challis, who will become the Anglia Ruskin Link Tutor to Judospace said "Anglia Ruskin University is building a great partnership with both the European Judo Union and with Judospace. We were pleased to welcome Envic Galea to the University again and we look forward to continuing to make a significant contribution to the development of judo coaches across the world."
