Born July 19th, 1982, James grew up on Long Island in Sayville, NY. He was actively involved in theater from Middle School through his graduation from Sayville High School in 2000. While at his senior prom James, never one to shy away from a potential story, dislocated his right knee while dancing to Shania Twain's unfortunate hit "Man I Feel Like a Woman".
Not being able to get out of the South, James went to Clemson University in South Carolina to complete his graduate work in Higher Education Counseling. At Clemson he also realized his passion for Social Justice work as noted in his efforts with the One World Project. He became a proud brother of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. in February of 2007. James was member of the Clemson comedic improv troupe Mock Turtle Soup. He opened each Mock Turtle Soup show with five-seven minutes of stand-up comedy and performed regularly in the upstate region of South Carolina. In May of 2007 James earned his Masters of Counselor Education: Student Affairs Practice in Higher Education. James decided to leave the South after seven years. He returned to his home state and the greatest city on Earth to be closer to his family and his dreams. James is currently working in Residential Life at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus in New York, NY. Pursuing his comedy dreams, he is taking Improv comedy classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York. He is currently performing around this city on the improv teams, Froduce and North Coast, and grabbing stand-up comedy stage time when and wherever he can!
