Steve Higgins is a Human Factors Engineer supporting the Federal
Aviation Administration at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in NJ.
Dr. Higgins has over 10 years of basic science and industry work
experience, most recently at the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign’s Department of Psychology & Beckman Institute, and
before that at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Cognitive
Neuroscience. He received his B.A. in Biological Psychology at Temple
University and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign in 2011. While at the University of Illinois he
received numerous fellowships and teaching honors. Dr. Higgins also has
over two dozen journal and conference publications. His research
interests include visual cognition and its neural correlates, scene and
object perception, object localization, canonical views of objects and
scenes, spatial navigation, as well as the many applied aspects of
psychology.
