The old castle overlooks the whole city.
The city is full of a
rchitectural beauty and graceful curves.It's mostly car free too - bonus!
At night the beautiful people line the river and the city becomes a romantic's dream.
On our long walking tour of the city, we explored each of the city's very different bridges, took the funicular up to the castle, roamed around the colorful market and had a peek inside the ornate St Nicolas church. We were also treated to a very interesting tour of the architect Joze Plecnik's house. The day ended with a relaxing river cruise (featuring a taste of a yummy Slovenian honey wine!) and a casual after dark stroll.
