Welcome to the web site of the Jeremy Ranch Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization, or JRES PTO. We hope you find this site to be useful for staying informed of upcoming events and on-going activities for the JRES Hawks.  We are going PAPERLESS!  At least as much as possible.  We are using a program called SignUp Genius to allow you to sign up for all of our volunteer positions.  We are also posting as many forms as possible on our site so they are available for you to download whenever needed.  If you have any questions about our new look, or can't find what you are looking for, please contact Darcy Tsandes at darcytpc@mac.com.

JRES parents from Jeremy Ranch, Moose Hollow and Spring Creek are represented by Precinct 4 board member Charles Cunningham (ccuningham@pcschools.us). Parents from Pinebrook, Timberline and Summit Park are represented by Precinct 5 board member Michael Boyle (mboyle@pcschools.us).

JUST A REMINDER

•Gently used Spirit Wear can be donated to the school.  There is a drop off box in the front lobby.  And don't forget to have the kids wear their Spirit Wear every Friday.
•Link (or re-link) your Smith's card to JRES and help us earn money for our school.
•Keep putting your Fresh Market receipts in the box in the front lobby.  We can earn another $500 this year for filling the box.
•Keep collecting your Box Tops and Campbell's Labels for Education.

Got Membership? That's How You Get a School Directory

If you're a newcomer to JRES, welcome! And please consider becoming a paying member of the PTO. Your $35 membership helps pay for teacher supplies, field trips, books and classroom equipment.

This year we have tried to make it easier for everyone.  We have created one form for you to use to join the PTO (which gets you your school directory), contribute to our Fundraising campaign Write-a-check (which replaced selling Sally Foster wrapping paper), order a Yearbook and order Spirit Wear (just the basic T-shirts here).  You can also order a binder to hold your directory and sponsor a less-privileged student's Spirit Wear.

If you'd like to join, please click on the link to download and print your form, fill it out and drop it off at the front office along with your check made out to JRES PTO.

Your Children Get These Things from Your PTO Donation

This is what your donation buys for your children:
  • $100 in supplies for each classroom, including reading, music and library specialists. This varies between $2,000 and $3,000, depending on how many teachers we have.
  • Field trips for each grade
  • Assemblies (this varies by year - we pay as they are requested by the teachers or the school)
  • Teacher Grants. We start with $1,500 available for individual grants requested by the teachers. Three times a year, the PTO votes on which grants to award. Grant items include books, classroom supplies and computer equipment. Last year we paid a part of the bill for hand-held computers in Ms. Hilton's class.
  • School Events, such as the Science Fair, dances and popsicles for Field Day
  • Student supplies, such as agendas and science equipment
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
Thanks to your support of the Write-A-Check program, all of our children will benefit from at least this level of funding this school year.
