Prior to establishing herself as a writer, stylist, and 24-Hour-Party-Person in New York, Joy survived an exceptionally bucolic childhood in Arkansas, and a somewhat useful Creative Writing degree from Florida State.  Her work has appeared on Spike TV and in BUST, CITY Magazine, Fly Magazine, and Bitch and Moan, among others, and she is known as the inventor of The Face Game. She and her two cats currently reside in Brooklyn, where she fools around with her sewing machine, accordion, and bangs.
