Mr. Joseph E. LeBlanc, Department Chair and Instructor
The goal of the Visual and Performing Arts Department of Caddo Magnet High School is to maintain a rigorous program of
college preparation and to foster lifelong learning for students in a
nurturing, safe environment. _________________________________________________ Mr. LeBlanc is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1977 and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Mississippi State University in 1981. Mr. LeBlanc continued his education at Centenary College of Louisiana where he earned certification in school administration as well as city and public school supervision of music. Mr. LeBlanc has been teaching since 1977 and is currently the Director of Bands at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, LA. Mr. LeBlanc is an active member of the Louisiana Music Educators Association, Texas Music Educators Association, Phi Beta Mu, and Phi Mu Alpha, the District VIII Band Directors Association and the Louisiana Association of Jazz Educators (LAJE). Mr. LeBlanc is also the Superintendent for the ANG BAND OF THE GULF COAST, 531st Air Force Band, Texas Air National Guard. --------------------------------------------------------------
