THOMAS ANGUS b 24 July 1843 Newcastle Upon Tyne and  died on the   20 February 1922 at  Kew, Victoria (1922), aged 78.
He was buried at the Booroondara cemetery , Kew on the 21st of February  1922 - BAP  C 146.  Thomas was five years old when the family arrived in Australia on the 'Navarino'.  When Thomas was eleven years , one of  his legs was badly injured and had to be amputated. He was so brave during a second operation that was performed without anaesthietic that the Doctor fitted his wooden leg for nothing.
  
   He married Mary Jane Hyatt at Geelong, Victoria 10 April 1868.
   Mary born in  Newtown (Geelong), Victoria 1847 and died at   Warrnambool. Victoria on the 17th of November   1937 (19010), aged 90 . She was buried at  the Warrnambool cemetery on the 19th of November 1937.

   Notes for Mary: Mary had 2 children prior to her marriage but it is  possible that at least one of these was fathered by Thomas. The first, Elizabeth died in infancy.
   The second Martha was named Hyatt at birth but by the time of her marriage was listed as Martha Hyatt Angus.  She was born the same year Thomas and Mary were married.
