I am not a fan of Rioja's wine, it is like being fan of the best football team because they are winning. I think they are boring and Spain has other great locations where wine is produced in a more interesting way. However, Rioja is Rioja; you have to give a present, buy a Rioja; you are invited to a dinner, bring a Rioja; it is a good and safe choice.
