The Spanish actor and director Antonio Banderas bought 50% of the winery Anta Bodegas last March 10th. It is located in Villalba del Duero, in the guarantee of region of Ribera del Duero. Banderas was seeking to invest in this world and apparently he loved the project of this company. Before buying Anta, he was also interested in other areas such as Penedes. Anta Bodegas is only going to change his name into Anta Banderas, everything else is going to keep the same. The agreement is based on promoting these young winery in the international market, essentially in the United States and South America. Other stars are involved in the world of wine, some examples are: Joan Manuel Serrat (Mas Perinet), Lluís Llach (Vall Llach) and Sergi Ferrer-Salat (Ferrer Bobet) in the Priorat region; Gérard Depardieu (Spiritus Sancti), in the Toro region; Michael Douglas (S'Estaca), in Majorca; Bertín Osborne (Conde del Donadío), in the Rioja region; Emilio Aragón (Martúe), Manolo Sanchís, Emilio Butragueño, Míchel, Rafael Martín Vázquez (this four famous soccer players) and Miguel Bosé (Casalobos), in Castilla-La Mancha. |
