40 small paintings (32x45 cm ca) all very different from one another: this is the project I am working on now, and I will post images of the work in progress, and the farmhouse where I am working, once every few days. The title is of course borrowed from Goya, and maybe I'll paint another 40 to make the eighty, but it is basically a study of colour where I can experiment more freely than with larger works. PHOTOS FROM SATURDAY 24 APRIL A view of a part of the studio, some white prepared canvases, some with colour priming and some in preparation. On the wall in front, the first 7 paintings. On the left, pigments, colour studies, equipment. The first seven paintings... they will of course be hung better in an exhibition, but this gives an idea. the view from the window, with the canal that used to power the mill (of which granary is now my studio) Another view of the contryside outside the window Painting number eight is finished... more to come PHOTOS FROM SUNDAY 25 APRIL The entrance to the studio... the stairs (or ladder) on the far left.
