Joongheon Kim is a member of the Embedded Networks Laboratory under the guidance of Great Advisor Professor Ramesh Govindan as a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, Los Angeles, California, United States since August 2009. He received the M.S. and B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Korea University, Seoul, Republic of Korea in 2006 and 2004, respectively. For M.S. research, he was a member of the Network Research Laboratory under the guidance of Professor Wonjun Lee. He was also a research engineer in embedded systems development and wireless networking standardization at the CTO/Multimedia Research Laboratory, LG Electronics, Seoul, Republic of Korea from January 2006 to August 2009. He is/was a member of IEEE (2005 - Present), Wireless Gigabit Alliance (WGA) (2008 - 2009), and WirelessHD Consortium (2008 - 2009).
