Volunteer Sign Up

Intersession is one of the most exciting and innovative aspects of Summit and Everest schools’ program. It is comprised of two four-week sessions during the school year when students engage in a full-time course or experience. Intersession requires a high level of parent support to make it happen and this year we need 10 chaperons a day to cover our entire student body at all locations. Chaperoning for intersession gives you the opportunity to meet, interact, and work with our students. Please sign up to help for a day (or more!) if you can. It's a great way to help our students, and to rack up volunteer obligation hours. Choose from any of the choices below:
  • Summit Intersession Performances & Exhibitions Refreshments Jan 27 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS on 1/27 Final performance and exhibitions will be held Wednesday January 27 from 5:30-7:00pm at Summit and we need parent to bring refreshments that evening at 5:30pm.  Refreshment ideas Cookies, Brownies, Crackers, Cheese, Veggie Platter, Chips, etc. Come and see: Independent study presentations, Robotics demonstration, Wilderness course presentation, Jazz Ensemble performance, and more.

  • CSMA Chaperon Sign Up Form - Click HERE for sign up sheet  Mountain View: Each day we will need two chaperons to take the train with the students in the morning and afternoon. Volunteers will help supervise the Lobby and assist the art and ceramics teacher from 8:15am-2:20pm. The parents oversee the handing out of lunches and make sure the students are not going off campus, and are acting responsibly on campus. Classes taught at this location are: Musical Theater I & II; Visual Art I & I.

  • Technology Intersession Field Trip Drivers - Click HERE for sign up sheet:  Bryant Wong, our Technology instructor, is looking for volunteers to help drive and supervise on the 7-10 field trips he’s planning to various Silicon Valley companies. Each trip will run about 2-3 hours and will require drivers to transport 27 students (dates and times are posted on the sign up sheet).

    Menlo Park: We will need a parent who can chaperon during lunch from 11:30-12:30. Parents with robotics experience, engineering or DIY backgrounds are also invited to volunteer a few hours a week to help students troubleshoot their robots and learn engineering concepts.

  • Summit Lunch Chaperon Sign Up Form - Click HERE for sign up sheet Redwood City: Each day we will need two chaperons from 11:30-12:30 to help distribute lunches and chaperon outside during the lunch hour. Sign up for several days if possible.
