Grades are updated and posted. Items not in the grades yet include the KNOW books, the Enlightenment Posters and movie extra credit.
*ALSO --> several of you have taken advantage of the opportunities at tutorial to improve your quiz scores - good job. However, several of you need to finish and/or correct/do correctly the activity. Updated/improved quiz scores will not be put in the grade book until they are fixed.

I apologize for this late posting. I have been out for a while as my mom is very ill and in the hospital. I have just returned to school this week and am playing catch-up on everything. I am in the process of grading and updating student grades before Finals week. Thank you for your understanding.
GRADES are updated for today but are not totally up to date. Still have to do our recent packet as well as quiz re-takes and make-ups.
REMINDERS --> this week's packet with its 6 assignments are due next week & their will be one more quiz. Also next week is the study-guide for the final. ---> Quiz re-takes --> next week only. Create a study guide with your graded quiz, study, then re-take it for a better score. Points for the study-guide too!

Wow does time go ... So, we are down to the last few weeks before finals! We have next week, the short week of Thanksgiving, then 2 full weeks and then it is finals. Today's quiz was on the Renaissance. We started our RENAISSANCE CEREAL BOX PROJECT today. They are due one week from Monday, in other words, Monday the 24th of November is the due date. The project directions are attached below. A word on quizzes ... low scores - not good. There is a need to focus and study more as well as pay attention more in class. Students have been notified of opportunities for tutorial and re-takes on quizzes. Such opportunities are up to the student - it's their responsibility to take care of business. |

BARACK OBAMA is the President Elect - history in the making. Regardless of one's politics or one's feelings towards Obama, the fact that he is the 1st African American to be elected President is incredible. It was just a few decades ago that the Civili Rights Movement was fighting for equality and respect for African Americans, achieving some success with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. We have come a long way ... & still have a ways to go yet.
ROME QUIZZES --> opportunities for re-takes if you failed the quizzes. You know who you are. Tutorial tomorrow and Friday only for this re-take opportunity.
THIS FRIDAY --> QUIZ --> on the Dark Ages/Middle Ages and Islam. Quiz will be open packet. PACKETS ARE DUE AS WELL on Friday.
PROGRESS REPORTS --> the 2nd one is next week and the grades that are posted now are pretty much the grades that will go on the Progress Report.
