MISSED & LATE WORK : 
Work missed due to to LEGITIMATE absences (excused) can be made up for full credit within the appropriate timeframe (1 day of makeup for every day absent). 
*Students are responsible for obtaining info on missed assignment, directions, materials, etc.  in order to complete the assignment the day they come back from being absent, and this must be done at an appropriate time (not at the start of class, not when Mr.Jones is teaching, etc.) such as during lunch or after school.

Late work can be turned in for a maximum of 60% credit the day after a due date.  Late work turned in after more than one day late will not be accepted. 

Any work, assignments, quizzes and tests missed due to being tardy is valued at 50% credit.  For missed work due to tardiness, it is the student’s responsibility to arrange for make-up.

GRADING POLICY & CITIZENSHIP:  Grades are the result of demonstrated student learning, achievement and effort.  Grades reflect the accumulation of points within certain categories that combine for an overall grade.  
•    45% = Tests and quizzes
•    35% = Homework, class-work and projects count
•    15% = Semester Final exam counts       * 5%   = Citizenship and Class Participation

The Citizenship grade is a reflection a good attitude, class participation, being prepared, a willingness to help/assist others, kindness towards others in class, being on time, regular attendance, etc.

*IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN & BE AWARE OF THEIR GRADE AND PERFORMANCE.
