I use a wide variety of handouts in my class. The goal is for students to create a resource book in their notebook. The simple hope is they will have information they need for a wide variety of classroom assignments right at their fingertips. The gift is that they will be allowed to use their notebook on the semester exam -- a big boost!

 It is critical that students have their notebook and other class materials with them every day in class. Students who are scrambling for paper, books, pen, notebook, and the like are students who create problems for the class and themselves. Coming to class ready to work is a critical employability skill.
