Mission Statement

The idea here is to give you my insight on what I want to do. Firstly my youtube page, it is a spot for my created card games and my voice over work. I am not inclined to say my voice work is better than my card game concepts or vice versa, it is a place to put my creative ideas to use and for people to see. The reason for the voice work is for people to see my talent evolve over time and hopefully landing me commercial spots or even more work in the real world in anime companies or video game companies.

As for the card game part, I want to show you that my writing skills and game engine skills are to par. I am a huge fan of writing, I hope to be a writer primarily for video games and maybe movies. I am writing a rulebook for my current card game and designing a huge 200+ card game expansion by myself. It's a lot of time wasted but I feel that this work will constitute into a opportunity.

Secondly, this site. Not many beginner voice actors have sites, I wanted to put this up ASAP so that fans can keep up with what I'm doing. I am always updating my filmography with amazing new characters. However, I am NOT really favoring fan dubs. I feel that it is pretty useless to do especially with youtube's fair use policy in play. I did a small part in an abridged series and it was taken down quickly. Besides doing abridged series are a dime a dozen online. It's very overdone and it doesn't measure as a acting spot in my opinion. It's nice you can do the voice of Goku but somebody already does the voice of Goku and does it better than you. Also, I don't want to butcher anime characters as well. That's the worst thing I can do.

What I do, if I get a role for abridged or anime, I put it on the bottom of the list. Doing original characters is my talent and I love creating a personality based on words on the screen and bringing the character to life.

Thirdly, staying very active. I have a youtube site, a blog, this site, deviant art, and I'm always on the VAA. WhoHub is a new idea and I signed on for it, I must of gotten over 100 views already. I will make sure to be on and answer all questions and answer them.

Fourth, for all voice acting producers. I will give you 100% of my heart and soul no matter how silly or serious the character is. I will promise you that I will deliver my lines before the due date and if I forget about a role or lines I am sorry, but I am human just like you and everyone else. I hope you understand all of us lead lives off the internet with our relationships and social networking and parties (with the ladies lol).

Fifth, to all of my fellow voice actors. One thing I learned at a very young age is respect. If you give respect to me, I will give you respect in return. I know all of you want to hit it big just like me, but I'm sure if we work together we can all achieve this goal in time. I love everyone who I worked with and hope to work with them again in the future.

I'm sure I have a lot more in my mind about what I'm about or where my morals and opinions on life stand. I just want everyone to know that I am a very dedicated and responsible person. I love to lay back and enjoy the life I was given on this planet and I'm gonna make sure that you and everyone else experience John Walker. If we meet in person or if you fall in love with my work, I thank you for the support and support is what I need to keep going. So take care of yourselves and each other.
