Welcome. I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University and Research Fellow with IZA and GLO. You can contact me at winters1@iastate.edu.

I do research mainly in the fields of Regional Economics and Labor Economics with specific topics including the migration decisions of college students and college graduates, the effects of human capital on regional economies, the effects of policies and other factors on individual education outcomes, interarea wage differentials, teacher labor markets, STEM labor market issues, and self-employment outcomes.
