For our science unit this fall fifth graders will be working with the Land and Water Unit. Fourth graders will be working with  the Ecosystems Unit.  Throughout these units, we will conduct investigations to better understand conceptual and physical models, systems, and investigative design. Some of the major concepts studied will include ecosystems, erosion, deposition, soil composition, and the water cycle. Students will practice informational reading and will also be completing entries in their science notebooks throughout the unit. We will also enrich this unit with a couple of projects: the  EarthKAM Project, and Project 3-DView. Check out the pictures we recently took on our recent EarthKAM mission.
