My Teaching Philosophy:
Most people closely associate Physics with Mathematics.  Although the basic elements of every physics problem are expressed mathematically, the essence of the problem lies beyond the equations.  I feel that learning physics is much more like learning a foreign language.  Vocabulary alone is not enough, you must know how to use the words.  Practice is therefore essential to achieve understanding.  It is quite the same with physics, knowing the math is not enough, an intuition for physics must be developed.  It is the job of the teacher to nurture the growth of this intuition.
