Monoprints

These monoprints are made by first making a line drawing of the two colours, then filling in the two areas with thick gouache leaving the pencil marks showing. When the paint is dry the whole picture is flooded with indian ink which is left to dry. When the ink is dry the picture is washed over with water which removes most of the ink leaving it on the paper where there was no colour and also in accidental places elsewhere on the painting.
