 In a series of non-sequiturs, I went on to read Music and Philosophy before twenty successful years in business: first IT, then Hotels where I specialised in marketing and finance. After selling-out to a national chain, I retrained as a professional sailor and started writing In 2009, I completed a Masters in Creative Writing (Distinction) at Glasgow University under the guidance of authors like Laura Marney, Elizabeth Reeder, Michael Schmidt and Zoe Strachan. I have also worked with the novelists Suzanne Berne and Niall Williams. My Scottish family home was the inspiration for Stevenson's "House of Fear". |
