Ben graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) with a B.S. in Physics in December 2000. In addition to his research in computational condensed matter physics, Ben was involved in research projects in fluid dynamics at UNI and Georgia Tech. Upon graduation Ben started a position as an optical engineer / scientist with Pemstar, Inc. in Rochester, Minnesota.
