16th September: Photos!

Well hello! I've finally uploaded my photos here. Please, please, please can you send me your photos or put them somewhere we can get at them? (And yo! Facebook junkies! Your photos are being compressed to distortion by those mean sods at Facebook. Flickr is much better.

I think we'd both like to add that the wedding day was the best day of both of our lives - and we both agree that, had no one turned up, it probably wouldn't have been nearly as good. Thanks everyone; for being our friends, coming along on the day, giving us such awesome cards, gifts and love; and not laughing at Joe's suit too much. You'll never know how much it meant to us and how much we wish we could do the same thing every weekend!

Oh, and the car made it all the way to 1000 miles before the alternator exploded on the last day of the honeymoon, leaving us stranded in Glasgow. Our final and most heartfelt thanks must go the AA men who kept us warm and dry and got us home in only a couple of hours late.

14th July: Attention Northerners

A lot of you have been asking how long you should allow to travel down for the wedding. I would say from Manchester, at least 4 and a half hours. 5 from Liverpool. (Gemma would say 2 hours, incidentally.) It's not that it will take that long, its just that it really can. If you're unlucky enough to get the Perfect Storm of problems on the A14 and M6, be a living nightmare that'll leave you trapped in your car, in your posh clobber, tapping angrily on the dashboard at the thought of less deserving wedding guests snaffling all the horses doovres.

So I guess what I'm saying is, if you're leaving Manchester on the morning of the wedding, you pretty much have to get up yesterday to be sure of making it on time. That is all.

(On a good day, of course, 4 and a half hours gives you enough time to be arrived, checked in, showered, changed and halfway through your second pint.)

21st May: Buy us stuff. (If that's your thing)

Exciting new content in the Wedding List section.

Hint: It's got something to do with this:

16th April: Lost in the post

We've got one of those horrible feelings that some of the invites have gotten lost in the post. So if you haven't recieved an invite to the wedding and you think you should have then, erm, call one of us and prepare for what could be the most mutually uncomfortable conversation ever held.

3rd April: Email clarification

A couple of people have asked us to clarify how you email your RSVP to us. Simple: You use the email address on the invitation. Why aren't we putting the email address on the website? Because we don't want it to be picked up by any nasty spam robots. (Essentially, automated programs that skip from page to page and scrape up any valuable information they can find - email addresses being their favourite food.)

(Jackie is also worried that word of the wedding will get out and the whole internet will turn up and cause trouble. That's another story.)

Those who really need to know this stuff might also like to know that any email to any name @joeandgemma.co.uk will get to us - so don't worry about spelling Joe correctly. God knows no one else does. :)

Hey. and also, more news about the Gifts is coming soon.

27th March: Updates

We've updated the Itinerary, Hotels and Getting There pages. Woo!

26th March: The email address really does work.

The website is kind of, sort of, mostly here now. First of all, let me apologise for the email address @joeandgemma.co.uk appearing not to work. A lot of you have recieved error messages and might be a little unsure as to whether we know you're coming. Let me reassure you now: The email address does work but, for some reason, it bounces a message back to you saying it hasn't. Regardless, we do get your message.

It probably has something to do with science.

(And, thank you, yes, it is ironic that a highly paid web-professional like myself should be unable to sort out something as simple as an email address. Please feel free to imagine that I am finding it as howlingly amusing as you are.)

Love from Joe

25th March: Hello and sorry we're late.

Dave said he'd do the website - and then Joe, being Joe, left it until the last moment. Dave then went on holiday and, being as he is a highly regarded web designer, probably doesn't want to be bothered with this kind of thing while he's relaxing by the pool.

So Joe has taken matters into his own hands. God help us all.
