Joe Ortiz is currently serving as the President of The Official Tom Flores Fan Club. Joe, who has been friends with Tom Flores for 20 years, was the Publicity Chair for the Los Angeles Boy Scouts/Los Angeles Raiders Golf Tournament from 1988 to 2000. The tournament raised funds for the Scouting program's Handicapped Youth Division. After the Raiders moved back to Oakland, the event reverted back to its original name, which was known as the Tom Flores/Boy Scouts Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament when the tournament first began in 1984.

Flores, who has the distinction of being the first Mexican American quarteback to play for a professional football league team, has earned four Super Bowl Championship rings. One as a quarterback, backing Len Dawson of the Kansas City Chiefs, one as an assistant coach (under John Madden) for the Oakland Raiders, and two rings for winning two Super Bowl Championships, for the Oakland Raiders and the Los Angeles Raiders.
One of committee's goals is to get Tom Flores inducted into the National Football League's Hall of Fame where he belongs. Joe has developed sites for Tom on MySpace, Facebook and here on Google Sites. Membership to the fan club is FREE. We want as many fans as possible to write letters and send emails to the voters of the NFL Hall of Fame. We provide the addresses.
