MILLER BREWING COMPANY: (Irwindale, CA) Provided publicity for Miller’s public relations department, relative to its community relation’s activities.

 

HOUSE OF SEAGRAM: Responsible for coordinating and publicizing local ethnic and special events. Seagram was involved in many community events featuring numerous products including

CHICANOS FOR CREATIVE MEDICINE: Provide public relations and fundraising activities for student organization at East Los Angeles College, the first organization of its type in the country that provides scholarship and resource assistance to students entering medical field.

 

TIERRA: One of the Latino community’s top rock/salsa and contemporary musical groups in the country.  Famous for several recorded hit tunes including “Memories,” “Together,” and “I Want You Back.”

 

MANNY MOTA INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION: An organization founded by Manny Mota, former major league baseball player currently a coach with the Los Angeles Dodgers, which helps kids in the U.S. and the Dominican Republic with scholarships and developing recreational resources (little league parks, etc.).

 

RITA MORENO: Responsible for publicity and talk show appearances regarding her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and subsequent tribute at Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

 

ROGER CLINTON: Provided brother of President Bill Clinton with publicity concerning his musical performances in southwest region, and international networking and sponsorship services.

 

CASA LAPOSTALLE: West Coast representative for a Chile-based winery that produces high quality wine, owned by the Grand Marnier Family.

 

LA RAIDERS/TOM FLORES CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT: Provide public relations for LA Raiders/Boy Scouts Celebrity golf tournament, headed by former Raiders quarterback and coach, Tom Flores, featuring NFL stars and other celebrities, benefiting Boy Scouts of America.

 

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA (Los Angeles Region): Provide public relations efforts to reach the Hispanic and Black leadership in their respective communities to make them more aware and involved with Boy Scout programs.

 

EL FLORIDITA RESTAURANT A famous Cuban Restaurant in Hollywood, where celebries galore congregate for music (Salsa) and the best Cuban food in the city.

 

UNIVERSAL BANK: A 6-branch (Encino, Woodland Hills, Rosemead, Orange and 2 in Eagle Rock) California bank.

 

BAJACOM: A joint (Mexican and American) paging company recently granted a concession from the government of Mexico to sell pagers in Baja. The company was founded by Sandy Pina, the first woman (and Chicana) President of a Kiwanis Club.

 

CRIS FRANCO: An exciting stand-up comedian and comedy writer, currently host of CAFÉ CALIFORNIA on KCET Television, an eclectic show focusing on Latino issues. Franco is the former head writer for the hit special (“New Cheech Marin Show”) on NBC Television in August 1988 and starred on “Square One,” a special education show on PBS.

 

EVELYN GUERRERO: Actress best known for her work as the ditzy Latina home girl (La Donna) in the cult Cheech & Chong Movies.

 

ROSARIO MARIN: Former US Secretary of Treasurer and former Mayor of Huntington Park. Wrote sevarl articles concerning her city mayor career and of her son who has Downs Syndrome.

 

RAUL MARTINEZ: A Houston-born comedian, who has toured the comedy circuit for the last 12 years. 

 

FRANK ZUNIGA: Internationally renowned film director, responsible for directing many films for Disney Studios.

 

HANK GARCIA: The first Hispanic stand-up comedian ever to appear on network television.  Co-starred with Jane Fonda and George Segal in the movie “Fun With Dick And Jane,” and was the opening act for many of the top entertainers in the country.

 

STATE SENATOR DIANE E. WATSON: Responsible for developing and promoting community-based projects in the Senator’s 28th Senatorial district. Former Ambassador to Micronesia, she was recently elected to the US Congress in June 2001.

 

LOS KITOS: Cartoon characters created by Martha Montoya, a Colombian-born artist and entrepreneur.  Currently in national syndication with Spanish-language print and soon to implement a bilingual format in English-language papers.  Also securing licensing agreements between Los Kitos cartoons and greeting card and toy companies.

 

INDUSTRY EDUCATION COUNCIL OF CALIFORNIA: Statewide non-profit dedicated to developing resources and collaborative efforts between labor, government, business, community and education to address the need to develop a better educated work force in California to compete in a global marketplace.

 

PROTECTION & ADVOCACY, INC.: A non-profit agency devoted to providing legal assistance to families of children with disabilities.

 

LATIN PUBLICATION, INC.: The largest Spanish-language publishing company in the country, devoted to publishing three periodicals (La Guia, Tu Mundo, Variedades), featuring the top Spanish-language television guide in California; entertainment, sports, fashion, food and editorial comments concerning the diverse Hispanic community.

 

RICHARD AMADOR, Director of CHARO (COMMUNITY HUMAN RESOUCES ORGANIZATION): A community-based organization that developed a myriad of human resources to the Los Angeles community.

 

SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS PARKLANDS ASSOCIATION: The non-profit, fundraising arm of the Santa Monica Mountains national Recreation Area, which promotes National Park Services activities, including annual “Head for the Hills Festival.”

 

HOLLENBECK YOUTH CENTER: Probably the largest and most effective youth organization in the greater Los Angeles community devoted to the eradication of drug abuse and gang violence through sports and recreational activities, administered buy the Hollenbeck Police/Business Council, a group of LAPD officers and community leaders, the Hollenbeck Youth Center is self-sustained by private donations and a series of community fundraising activities.

 

SOKA UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA: Private, four-year international college details education and liberal arts degree programs, admissions process, and founding principles. JOE PEREZ ASSOCIATES: Promoting and publicizing company which installs advertisement on Metro-link Rapid Transit Systems in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Antonio, Texas. Also founder of Cuba Travel Service, with offices in Long Beach, Las Vegas, Miami, Tampa and San Juan, Puerto Rico, offers weekly, non stop direct charter flights to Havana from Los Angeles and to Cienfuegos and Havana from Miami. 

 

DR. GERALD L. FISHKIN: Author, college professor and one of America’s foremost experts on stress and burnout.  Fishkin is the author of 2 books on stress and burnout among, police, firefighters and paramedics.

 

LATIN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION: The largest Hispanic entrepreneurial association in the country, devoted to advocacy, business education and business development.

 

LATIN BUSINESS FOUNDATION: The sister organization of the Latin Business Association, primarily responsible for raising scholarship money for young Hispanic students entering the field of business.

 

ALYCIA ENCISO: A West Los Angeles-based space planning and interior design specialist.  She recently received the LBA “President’s Award” for “dedication and commitment to excellence” within her industry and community at large.

 

JACQUELINE PRICE, NIP IT IN THE BUD ™: A young ecologically minded entrepreneur who invented a non-toxic, non-poisonous insecticide.  Ms. Price is presently marketing her flea shampoo, insecticide balm for human application, and other non-toxic products for general and industrial usage to the national marketplace.

 

SKYLAR PRODUCTIONS: Publicist and international marketing consultants for independent motion picture and recording company owned by Jamie Skylar, sister of actor Don Johnson.

 

MORAGA DRIVE PRODUCTIONS: Publicist and international marketing consultants for independent motion picture, video production and special events company.

 

DOOR GUARD: Door Guard, a home security device that is permanently attached to doorways, protecting residents from intruders.

 

DWD2: Latin and international marketing consultants for new innovative auto air conditioner cleaner.

 

PEGGY DAY: Singer/songwriter and recording artist, specializing in new age and folk music.

 

DEBI DALE: Singer, recording artist, specializing in spiritual and pop music.

 

MICHAEL ORTIZ: Singer/songwriter and recording artist, specializing in Country music.
