I am a veteran communications strategist who has developed campaigns for the world's leading brands, Ford, Skype, Target, Pepsi, Gillette, HP, State Farm, Citi, among others. I currently run a consultancy SHARED VALUE STRATEGY focusing on Purpose-driven, socially-conscious brands. I write, teach and provide freelance strategic planning to companies and agencies, with special attention to social and cause-marketing. My latest work is in branded documentary, where I helped develop films for causes that drive engagement, like this one for Ford's Warriors in Pink program. I am formerly Global Engagement Planning at Porter Novelli, a global top 5 PR agency, and was Managing Director of Spike Lee's advertising agency, Spike DDB. Spike and I made dozens of acclaimed commercials together. I was also at Sapient Nitro as Director of Digital Strategy in NY. I also teach advertising strategy at NYU Steinhardt School.
