The Dietetics Program at San Francisco State University is an "impacted major." You can apply to the program for admittance Fall 2012 by completing a Supplemental Program Application, due March 1, 2012. The Dietetics Program at San Francisco State University is an "impacted major." 

  • Upper Division Transfers only may apply (minimum of 60 units completed)
  • Additional supplemental application information required: cfsd.sfsu.edu/programs.aspx

The SFSU application deadline for Fall 2012 is November 30th, 2011. You will need to submit an additional supplemental application directly to the Dietetics Program due March 1, 2012. Please click on "Prospective Students" for more information.

The university is no longer accepting 2nd bachelor degree students. They MAY allow us to admit a small number of applicants (we accepted 10 for fall 2011). You must first apply directly to the Dietetics Program by OCTOBER 15TH, 2011 for admittance Fall 2012. THE PROGRAM

The B.S in Dietetics prepares students for careers in clinical dietetics, foodservice systems management, and nutrition education positions in industry or government agencies. The B.S. in Dietetics is an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and meets the Standards of Education of The Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of The American Dietetic Association (ADA).

The Dietetics program is quite rigorous and GPA is of utmost importance in getting into a Dietetic Internship. Students will apply to a Dietetic Internship during their final semester through ADA's national competitive computer matching system.

The B.S. in Dietetics is an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and meets the 2008 Eligibility Requirements and Accreditation Standards of The Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association. The accreditation process requires a detailed description of how the Didactic Program in Dietetics at SFSU meets the CADE 2008 Eligibility Requirements and Accreditation Standards.
